Optic Review: EPS MRS 2 MOA Green Dot/32 MOA Circle (EPS-GR-MRS)
I have done a lot of research on different Optics manufacturers and I kept coming back to Holosun. My main criteria for the optic that I want was for it to be green. I have used red optics and green stands out more for me because I have astigmatism. The other requirement was that the optic needed to be a 2 MOA. Anything bigger will make it harder to shoot accurately at longer distances. My final requirement was the optic height. I want to be able to store my gun in a safe. With the size of my safe, the height is limited.
I have looked at Trijicon, but they primarily make red dot optics. They do make a few green dot optics, but the 9 MOA was too large. Aimpoint makes a Green Dot that is 3.5 MOA, which is better, but not small enough.
Ultimately, I chose the Holosun EPS Green 2 MOA Optic, because it is an enclosed system. I want to eliminate the chance of something interfering with the optic working in any situation. The green dot was very important to me, because I have astigmatizm and it is easier to see, while aquiring a target. The height of the optic was also important, because it needs to fit inside my safe. I have the Vaultek safe that I keep on my dresser next to my bed. The height of available space was 1 inch. The Holosun EPS's height is .99 inches, which is perfect.
